The Power is Me

Ok ok,

I have realised that the greatest power on earth does not lie within a block of uranium. On the contrary, the greatest power lies within ourselves. Yes, The power of speech.

Mere words alone, syllables made out of primitive sounds, in disarray. But to think that when put together in a sequence with an intended meaning, these primitive sounds have toppled whole governments and caused worldwide chaos, one has to stop and think.

They can move the world, the masses, in blind belief, and these authoritative sources have always held a strong sense of self righteousness, however artificial subjective or misleading.

Journalism that believed in reporting the really real, the truly true never did survive long. The truth can be altered, nudged, watered down, and can be a real Jedi mind trick on many people.

Sometimes I wonder if it is important for all of us to sing the same note. Perhaps only so, if we can convince ourselves to be on the “right” side of the fence. But how justified is our perception? What about the voices in our heads that are screaming against what we are doing, and yet can only remain in silence? We have become powerless, because we’ve lost speech.

I have realised that the greatest power on earth does not lie within a block of uranium. On the contrary, the greatest power lies within ourselves. Yes, The power of speech and we might just be losing it.

Cheers

Who Am I?

Ok ok,

Who Am i.

Everyone wants to be a hero; we all want to save the day. You fantasize about it after every action movie you watch. Plastering your face upon the protagonist in one of the over sensationalized situations, and then mimicking the actions of the flavor-of-the-moment actor whom happens to be playing the role.

Life isn’t a movie; the fictional characters of the screen are simply that, fiction, along with their actions. They are an extreme, risking everything selflessly within outlandish circumstances. They have become the image of the hero, monopolizing the definition. But the word hero encompasses so much more.

Heroes come in all shapes and forms, they are a son, a daughter, a stranger. They are everyday people just like you and me, except when they were put in a situation they went above and beyond.

People are heroes for various different reasons, many of which are not as glorified as we usually imagine them to be. And just because their actions aren’t as showy doesn’t diminish their heroic status.

Sometimes heroes are not seen for what they truly are, special, unique. Sometimes standing out of the crowd isn’t seen, at the time, as heroic simply because of society’s conformist mentality, to step away from the group, to question the unquestioned.

Who Am i? I am a Hero, just like you. A knight does not always wear a shining armor.

Cheers

Shit Happens

Ok ok,

A couple of people i know are going through bad times. A little bird told me that when people are going through bad patches, they tend to appreciate anything thrown at them. I am trying to study this phenomenon.

So for anyone caught up to throat deep in shit, something for you to ponder about.

There’re just so many things that we have no control over. Things that we can’t decide over. Things that we can’t change. Things that we can’t stop from happening. Things that we can’t turn around. Things that we can’t help. Things we can’t do anything but throw our hands skyward and ask “Why Me?”.

Life has taught me to be open-minded to many things. Accept the facts, easy or hard. Accept the truth, painful or not. Accept it, whether you want to or not and to move on after that. We have to keep moving on no matter what happens. Even if we lose something so precious that we think we couldn’t live without. But the fact is we can, it’s just that it would be too painful to move on. But if we do move on, someday you’ll turn back and feel much stronger, with no regrets.

In reality there is only the present, because the past no longer exists and the future does not exist yet. Of the past and the future only the images exist, and these only in the present in our minds. The future, like the past, is but an ‘extension’ of our minds.Children have neither past nor future; they enjoy the present, which very few of us do.

Cheers.

Fact File
Archtomato

Archtomato . OxyMoron .
Laughing at Gilded Butterflies

Archtomato works in the IT security industry and has managed to convince his bosses for the past 10 years that his best work is yet to come.

Archtomato is a coffee nut, a photographer without focus, a traveler who can't read maps, a diver who floats all too easily and a champion of world peace.

He is an avid practitioner of the dark side of the force; admires Chuck Norris, Paris Hilton and collects vintage Batman comics. Just like the Horizon, Time Dilation, Flying pigs, Tax Reliefs and possibly, the "Opposition", he believes he is more of a concept than a corporeal being.

Archtomato believes that the true nature of man is decided in the battle between the conscious mind and the desires of the subconscious and that the evil of man's subconscious is often too strong to resist. The only way to win is to deny it battle.

He now lives in a world of pollution, profanity, adolescence, smelly beavers, zits, herpes, broccoli, racism, ozone depletion, sexism, conscription, yellow bananas, stupid people, nightmares, dog whisperers,Gamma Ray Bursts, Nuke Baddies and sings badly but regularly in the bathroom.

Tomatoes were sacrificed in the making of this website, contents and for the continual existence of its owner.
