And thats how the Cookie Crumbles

Ok ok,
But I have to say I enjoy adulthood. I enjoy the fact that now, if I want a cookie, I have a cookie. You know the chocolaty kind with cream in between. Hell i will have three cookies or four cookies or eleven cookies if I want. Whats the big deal with the cookies? Well when i was younger i used to get the, “Not before dinner.” “Not too many.” “You’ve had enough.” “Not now.” Well mommy, guess what, now I’m a grown-up, give me the cookies!
Many times I will intentionally ruin my entire appetite. Beyond recognition. Then I tell my mother just to rub it in. “Yo Mom? I just ruined my entire appetite. . . . Cookies.” So what if I ruin it? See, as adults we understand, even if you ruin an appetite, there’s another appetite coming right behind it. I see no danger in running out of appetites. And speaking of appetites, i’m feeling hungry again. Cookie anyone?
Cheers.

A Stranger, In the Dark
Visualised by archtomato On Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 19:57 Hrs | Minimum B.S.
Ok ok,
I was discussing philosophy with a friend recently and landed upon the very nature of stereotypes. The concept of “stereotype” is often misintepreted as “prejudice”. Maybe rightly so but i digress. Stereotypes are standardized and simplified conceptions of groups based on some prior assumptions. It implies nothing and expects nothing. Merely based on facts. But my mind wondered on to assumptions that are usually a bi product of stereotyping.
People naturally assume others at face value. I am sure I’ve been assumed too many times. I rarely talk about my life to strangers because its been the confusing roller coaster that life is bound to offer. I think I’m done living to eradicate assumptions that strangers have about me.
I’m hesitant to divulge my experiences any longer because I’ve learned that face value is often the only value you receive. A label, whether it be a career title or clothing logo, is an instant definition, and few are bound to go deeper to learn the intricacies a person holds. I would beseech people to judge me right from the inside. Don’t put your labels on me, because if you look beyond my cover, You’ll discover there’s so much more to me.
I’ll have to try to cope with the fact that I’m a stranger within myself while I set sail on a journey to find something beneath the surface. It’s something that has to be done alone I guess. I cut the rope and let the boat float out to sea to be tossed in the waves and lost in places uncharted. Floating in my silent abyss, Waves overcome and some waves missed. I choke and cough words iodized. Still yet, I breath to no surprise, Time slowly passes, recession much deeper. I swim when I can then wade for a breather. A last hope, a prayer my reef poses danger. Unannounced is a touch by an unseen stranger, out in the dark.
All things move towards their end. Thoughts drifting back to those shapes that stalk through dreams. A great bright white light that is everything and nothing at the same time. Thoughts, which race the electrical super-highways of your mind so fast, that you cannot catch them, never to breathe them, unable to live them. I hate the feeling of desiring something that can’t be attained. I believe i will not get my desired today.
At the end of the day, most people will be surprised to learn how little they know of people around them. We assume more than we are ever willing to probe. In the end, all we do is just dance around, with a stranger, in the dark.
I shall stop now.
Cheers

The Emotion of Motion
Visualised by archtomato On Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 20:25 Hrs | Minimum B.S.
Ok ok,
All Children instinctively know it. A few adults still remember it. Those who have felt it refuse to outgrow it. In grown-up language, it means the exhilaration and liberation from experiencing the emotion of motion. But as usual kids put it much better and simple call it “Zoom-Zoom”.
I try to practice it every day. It’s who i am. It’s why i do what i do. It’s a passion that drives me and not me it. When are you going to re-awaken your own “Zoom-Zoom”?
Cheers.

Heroes
Visualised by archtomato On Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 18:40 Hrs | Minimum B.S.
Ok ok,
Who Am i.
Everyone wants to be a hero; we all want to save the day. You fantasize about it after every action movie you watch. Plastering your face upon the protagonist in one of the over sensationalized situations, and then mimicking the actions of the flavor-of-the-moment actor whom happens to be playing the role.
Life isn’t a movie; the fictional characters of the screen are simply that, fiction, along with their actions. They are an extreme, risking everything selflessly within outlandish circumstances. They have become the image of the hero, monopolizing the definition. But the word hero encompasses so much more.
Heroes come in all shapes and forms, they are a son, a daughter, a stranger. They are everyday people just like you and me, except when they were put in a situation they went above and beyond.
People are heroes for various different reasons, many of which are not as glorified as we usually imagine them to be. And just because their actions aren’t as showy doesn’t diminish their heroic status.
Sometimes heroes are not seen for what they truly are, special, unique. Sometimes standing out of the crowd isn’t seen, at the time, as heroic simply because of society’s conformist mentality, to step away from the group, to question the unquestioned.
Who Am i? I am a Hero, just like you. Lastly, i will leave you with this – Heroes are not born, they are cornered.
Cheers.

Ok ok,
The fried chicken used to be Man’s best friend. It took part in sporting events, social events, religious gatherings and to watch Star wars the complete saga in Bluray. The fried chicken used to be Man’s best friend until it was revealed that no dog was ever harmed in making hot dogs (Chinese territories and Korea excluded).
Cheers.
